Math

The Common Core Math Standards concentrate on a clear set of math skills and concepts. Students will learn concepts in a more organized way both during the school year and across grades. The standards encourage students to solve real-world problems. Students are often asked to justify why a math statement is true, in order to build their mathematical understanding. In addition, math procedures are also taught and practiced.

Social Studies

Students will progress from simple geography and important historical figures, to learning about the native people and history of California, to discovering the conditions that led to the birth of our nation.
